A much better performance from the Giants as they were felled by local rivals the Cheshire Phoenix. New boys Jack Hudson and David Ulph impressed – the former handling the ball well and the latter taking an impressive fourteen rebounds, including seven offensive boards. A loud atmosphere at George H Carnall complimented an entertaining game.
