Jonathan Deakin
Cancer Rehab Instructor

Jonathan is a 44 year old male from Manchester, UK and he has always been passionate about sport and exercise. In November 2013 Jonathan was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour, an Anaplastic Astrocytoma.

The tumour was a grade 3 and the outlook was not good. At the time Jonathan was very depressed as he perceived his life as he knew it to have ended and he thought that I would no longer be able to be active anymore.

But it didn’t take too long to realise that Jonathan could still perform all the activities he did previously and, although he had to make some lifestyle changes and take some time off work, life could carry on pretty much as it had before.

A year down the line and Jonathan is now back at work as a personal fitness trainer and I am also involved with a Macmillan project as the project ambassador aimed at providing exercise sessions for cancer patients.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”6135″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
