THE Giants came back from Durham empty-handed after a late, late bodyblow.

After tying the game in the last seconds and having a shot at the winner, the Giants were hit with a late three-pointer from Ralph Bucci that won the game for the home team.

It was an agonising blow after the game had been neck and neck from the opening quarter.

The Wildcats took the first period 21-19 and were up 37-35 at half-time. The game was tied at 53-53 going into the fourth and though the home team grabbed a five-point lead late on Stef Gill levelled it with a three before Bucci’s last-gasp winner.

Gill and Callum Jones scored 15 each while Mike Bernard had 10 and eight rebounds.
