The Mancunian sharp shooter will return to Manchester Magic, where he started his career, in NBL1 in the new season.

Gill has been a key member of the team during the four seasons since the club’s relaunch in 2012.

He has taken up the option to rejoin Magic and Giants CEO John Dwan said: “I would like to put on record my sincere thanks to Stefan for the brilliant contribution he has made to the club during the last four years.

“”He has been one of our most popular and influential players during that time and a fantastic role model for our younger players.

“”I’d like to wish him every success in helping Magic to great things.

“”I’m hopeful that Stefan will be able to continue to support our club with some of the community projects in which he has been involved and continue to make a big contribution in that field in helping Mancunians.

“”We’d love to see him back at Giants games too. All the best from everyone at the club
