The 2018-19 season is underway and we have our first All-Star Five lineup with four summer signings making instant impacts over the opening weekend.
Josh Wilcher (Plymouth Raiders)
Back in the BBL after a season away, Wilcher reminded the Pavilions faithful of his talent with a 26-point haul combined with seven assists to lead Plymouth to their first win of the season as they overcame London Lions, on Sunday.
Robert Crawford (Worcester Wolves)
With the Wolves missing two of their new American signings, their third hit the ground running on Friday night as Crawford fired in 28 points. The sharpshooter went 8 of 11 from 3-point range and also added six rebounds, two assists and two steals in the home win against Plymouth.
Donte Nicholas (Plymouth Raiders)
Another former player came back to the aid of Plymouth after Nicholas dished out an early season-high of 11 assists to go with 16 points for a double-double in the victory over London. The American also came up with five rebounds and two blocks to seal his place in the first lineup of the new season.
Brandon Peel (London Lions)
One of the stars of last season, Peel picked up where he left off with a dominant display in a season-opening victory over the Rocks. The American harvested a stellar double-double of 23 points and 16 boards to lead London to a convincing 34-point home victory.
Matthew Bryan-Amaning (London City Royals)
Back on home soil and the former GB international made his mark with 28 points, 12 rebounds as well as three blocks in a historic victory for London City Royals. MBA was instrumental in the win and clocked the full 40 minutes to lead his under-manned side past Bristol on the road.
Off the bench: Quincy Taylor (Scorchers), Joonas Jarvelainen (Plymouth Raiders), Dirk Williams (DBL Sharks Sheffield), Dii’jon Allen-Jordan (Cheshire Phoenix), Gareth Murray (Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks), Jimario Rivers (Cheshire Phoenix), Willie Clayton (Manchester Giants)
