The Giants were hit with a three-point barrage by Sheffield Sharks.

Rashawn Rembert poured in 27 points in the win with five triples with Malcolm Riley adding 19 points as the duo combined for 46.

It made for a tough night for the Giants as the Sharks made a strong start and never looked back.

They opened up a 15-point advantage by the end of the opening period.

The lead continued to grow in the second as Sheffield held the Giants to 12 points in the second to move 47-28 ahead.

Rembert opened the third with five quick-fire points and Riley connected twice from downtown as the Sharks scored 27 in the period with their lead passing 30 points.

The Giants kept the margin close in the final period with Callum Jones finishing with a team-high 17 points as they were unable to pick up a fifth league win of the campaign.

Jerelle Okoro put in a battling performance with a couple of highlight dunks and 14 points.
