DBL Sharks Sheffield missed out on the chance to clinch their place in the Play-Offs after falling to a narrow defeat against Manchester Giants.
It was just a fourth league victory of the season for the Giants as they produced a strong finish to take the win.

Turning point – Manchester were down seven at the half, but closed the gap ahead of the fourth before producing a dominant 13-2 start to take the lead. The Sharks rallied from an 82-68 deficit with a 13-0 run, though the Giants held their nerve from the foul line to seal the win.
Key stat – Sharks scored 26 points off of their opponents’ turnovers, but missed 10 free throws in the contest which didn’t help their cause.
Game hero(es) – Ingus Bankevics and Isaac Banks combined for 50 points in the win for the Giants, while Callum Jones handed out 15 assists upon his return from England duty at the Commonwealth Games.
