Croatian big man Vlatko Granic says the team can go far this season if they continue to work hard.

A true team performance saw the Giants pick up a second successive road win, 86-92 at Worcester Wolves on Friday night.

That followed the season opener victory at Sheffield Sharks and means the Giants are 2-2 in the BBL – having won half as many games already as they did in the whole of last season.
Granic said: “We have a lot of things to prove and we are a group of guys that work hard. I believe we can go really far this season.

“This is my first season in the BBL and it’s taken me some time to adjust to this level.

“I’m feeling better with every game and my confidence level is going up.”

Granic provided one of the highlights of the win at Worcester with a terrific dunk off Mike McCall’s pass.

He said: “Oh that was a good play! And a good pass from Mike. I was hyped after that dunk and it kept me going.”

The Giants are back in action this Sunday with a trip to Surrey Scorchers in the BBL Cup, before returning home to face London Lions at Trafford Sportsdome on Sunday November 4. CLICK HERE to buy tickets online or call 0161 747 2485.
