GIANTS forward Rob Marsden has been named in the BBL’s latest team of the week.
The Yorkshireman (pictured) enjoyed a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds in the win over London Lions, the latest in a series of impressive displays this season.
Here’s what the BBL had to say about Rob:
It’s a debut appearance for the forward who has enjoyed a very encouraging and productive first campaign playing at the elite level, having stepped up from the EBL with Leeds Carnegie.
He produced a string of impressive and consistent displays even when Manchester weren’t winning due to their injury problems earlier in the season.
He is still flying now and with his team on a strong upward curve, he helped them continue their play-off charge with a neat and efficient double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds at London Lions. He completed a fine night of work with five assist and two steals.
Tintin Watts was named on the bench for his 20-point showing against the Lions.
Good work, lads.
