Nathan Robinson to Bolster Giants Backcourt

Nathan Robinson to Bolster Giants Backcourt

The Manchester Giants bolster their backcourt with their latest edition: Salford-born guard Nathan Robinson.

Nathan Robinson is no stranger to high level basketball recently playing in the NCAA with the South Dakota Coyotes then later at Seattle and previously representing GB at international level for the U20’s. The 6”4 British guard brings scoring to a high octane backcourt as well as youth with only being 22 years old. As well as his own game abilities, Giants heritage runs in the Robinson family with his father Mark being part of the illustrious Giants squad of the 90’s for a period of time.

Now it's Nathan’s time to cement his own legacy at the Giants under new Head Coach Vince Macaulay who had this to say about the signing of the young dynamic Robinson: “It’s great to be able to get a young up and coming player like Nathan to join us, he’s very mature, handles the ball and can shoot! Also the link with Giants through his father Mark Robinson keeps that legacy current".

Nathan Robinson had this to say about playing for the same team as his father: “I’m very excited to start my professional career with the giants. Manchester is a special place for me and I can’t wait to get started!". Nathan Robinson will take the court for the first time in a Giants jersey during our season opener against Bristol Flyers on September 23rd.

Further team news is expected immediately whilst tickets and further details around our games will come nearer the season start.Photo: University of South Dakota Athletics
