It was a tough assignment for the Giants, who ultimately fell to two defeats despite a spirited display in the home game on Sunday.

He said: “It was very tough. There was a few factors that were tough for the team, especially against a very disciplined team like Leicester, The travel, the rest and recovery and keeping focused.

“Some positives were that I think we were more prepared for the home game, we were ready with how they were going to play and how we were going to play defence.

“A lot of players came off the bench and had an impact on Sunday, Sam (Toluwase) threes got us back in to the game and we maintained our competitiveness throughout the game, but I feel that we drifted away from what was working later on.

“The part that hurts is that we still lost by 26 points, as the score doesn’t reflect how well we played in the game.

“We just have to stay focused and stay disciplined, learn from this experience and we should start crawling our way back up.”
