Manchester Giants rounded off their pre-season schedule with a 97-80 win over Manchester Magic.
The wait is over for Danny Byrne’s men, who start their British Basketball League campaign with a trip to Sheffield Sharks on Friday night.
They finish pre-season with a decent record of five wins from six games, the only defeat coming at Cheshire Phoenix.
Having beaten Magic at home on Sunday, they made it a double in the Battle of Manchester at the Manchester Basketball Centre.
Willie Clayton, who only featured for 12 minutes, once again posted impressive statistics, including 100% field goal accuracy for 14 points.
Callum Jones top-scored for the Giants with 19, and Mike McCall registered 17.
James Jones landed three three-pointers from five for 11 points, and Torry Butler, Barry Webster and Vlatko Granic all hit double figures in points, with Webster also registering four blocks and two steals.
Fighting spirit and no little talent from @Mcr_Magic’s youngsters but @McrGiants have too much nous and power with seven players on double figures. 97-80 to the BBL team pic.twitter.com/txioY1ZgUR
