handsinwebTHE Giants make the long trip to Plymouth on Sunday looking for their second road win of the season.

After success at Birmingham last weekend, head coach Jeff Jones wants his side, now with a 5-10 record, to keep their momentum on the south coast.

“We have been playing well and the guys are all working hard for each other,” he said.

“They did a great job in the fourth quarter against Birmingham to get our first away win.

“Plymouth will be tough. They are talented but we have been playing well and want to build on what we have done lately.”

Guard James Jones, 30 this week, goes into the game having been named in the BBL team of the week for a second time this season.

And Raiders chief Jay Marriott knows the Giants will pose a threat after beating his team at Wright Robninson in October.

“Manchester are playing great basketball right now and will be looking to attack us like the last time we met,” Marriott said.

“They have smart veterans, are a very physical team and will relish the chance of playing at the Pavilions.”
