The Giants head into another weekend double-header in search of more Play-off points.

The nail-biting win over Leicester Riders at George H Carnall pushed Danny Byrne’s men into seventh place in the BBL standings and boosted morale for another demanding test on two fronts.

The Giants head to Worcester on Friday night looking to record a clean sweep of their rivals, having already beaten them home and away this season, albeit via double overtime in Manchester.

Even though they were well beaten in the only meeting so far with Plymouth early in the season, Byrne will be demanding a win this time against his home-town team.

What they’re saying

Coach Danny Byrne said: “The win over the Riders shows what we’re made of. That was our best defensive performance of the season and we want more of the same this weekend.

“The players are playing as a team and all pulling for each other. They want that Play-off spot as a reward for the brilliant support we have had again this season.”
