Leicester Riders put on a show live on FreeSports to take victory against Manchester Giants as head coach Rob Paternostro brought up his 300th win.

They may have been missing a leading player in the injured Andy Thomson, but Leicester Riders showed their strength in depth by blasting their way past Manchester Giants to complete a weekend win double.

Despite having two new signings in their line-up, the visitors were ruthlessly swept away and had no answer to the spectacular play of the league leaders at both ends of the floor.

Leading scorers – Holder 17, Bernardini 15, Hampton 10, Robertson 10 (Riders), Kadiri 20, Bankevics 11, Rettig 9 (Giants)

Turning point – There wasn’t one as Riders racked up a double-figure lead within four minutes and at 19-4, the visitors were always up against it.

Key stat – Riders were so hot from downtown at 8 of 13 within the first 15 minutes, it took the game away from Giants. They also finished the contest with a eye-popping 30 assists.

Game hero(es) – Captain Tyler Bernardini was again influential with 15 points and 7 assists.
