THE Giants couldn’t quite pull-off a late fightback against the visiting Leicester Riders.
After taking the first quarter 22-21 the Giants went on a second-quarter slide to go in at half-time 50-35 down.
The Riders stretched their lead to 70-51 in the third but the Giants did not give up.
They charged back into the game and got within five points of their third-placed opponents.
But Leicester held on and pulled away again in the dying minutes to leave the Giants beaten.
