THE Giants romped to a resounding win over the visiting Durham at Wright Robinson.

The victory, which featured 28 points from captain James Jones, is a big boost to the team’s play-off hopes.

The younger Jones brother, Callum, scored 21 with Stefan Gill hitting 20 and Tintin Watts 10.

The Giants made a hot start, taking the opening quarter 28-17 and holding a 47-30 lead at half-time.

They were 64-45 up at the end of the third and, despite easing off in the fourth, took the win.

It puts the Giants in ninth in the BBL table, two points behind Plymouth with two games in hand and two behind Durham with a game in hand.
