DavidAliuTHE Giants were unable to pull off a brave fightback against Worcester in a high-scoring clash.

Missing the presence of the injured Stefan Gill and Mike Bernard, the under-strength Giants fought all the way but came up just short.

After going in at half-time 68-52 down, Jeff Jones’ men refused to give up and edged the third quarter 23-21.

But they could not overhaul their high-flying opponents in the last period.

Dave Aliu (pictured) again led the Giants with 29 points, while James Jones had 22 and six assists.

Rob Marsden hit 20, Yorick Williams 19 and David Watts 11. Youngster Connor Tuxford made his off the bench for the last two minutes.

Zaire Taylor was on fire for the Wolves with 37 points including 8 from 9 from 3-point range.
