The Giants pulled off their second win of the BBL season with an impressive performance in Worcester.

US Guard Mike McCall Jnr led the way with 20 points and five assists while countryman Torry Butler had a double double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Giants had won at Sheffield on the opening night then followed up with defeats to London City Royals and Surrey Scorchers.

But they bounced back in style on the road on Friday night to move to 2-2.

The Giants edged the first half 49-47 and went into the final quarter in touch at 68-66 down as the teams stayed close to each other throughout the game.

But Danny Byrne’s men held their nerve to seal it late on with a 9-2 run in the fourth and never trailed again with Butler stepping up to make some big shots down the stretch.

Ingus Bankevics (16), Callum Jones (16), James Jones (10), Willie Clayton (8 and 10 rebounds) and Vlatko Granic (6 and 9 rebounds) all played their part.
