Rob MarsdenROB Marsden believes the Giants can shift up the gears.

Despite having opened up the 2013-14 campaign with three successive losses, the Yorkshireman is confident that they can overcome their false start and pick up the pace.

He said: “Everybody is disappointed in our start, but we are remaining positive that with certain changes, our first win may not be too far around the corner.

“I genuinely believe that when we gel and hit our higher gears – something I know we have, but have not yet reached, we will be fine.

“We had not really played many preparation games, so personally, I’m still getting comfortable with my team-mates and getting to know everybody’s respective games.”

The Findlay College graduate (pictured) has has made some eye-catching contributions since stepping up from Leeds Carnegie and the EBL during the summer.
